Uncanny X-Men # 462 - 465: Captain Britain & Friends

Rachel and Betsy are outside of reality, unphased by Wanda’s new world. Roma sends Captain Britain to fix the problem (Wanda), or else she’ll let Saturnyne destroy Earth 616. I feel like Roma goes back and forth between benevolent Goddess and vindictive demon. Jamie Braddock seems to be pulling the strings to save earth. He pops into existence, destroys the machine that could destroy Earth 616, and then leaves. I love this cooky little man. I want more Jamie Braddock please.
Brian goes back to Earth but him, Betsy, and Rachel can’t remember the truth. That's going to be a problem when you're supposed to be saving something...Brian is reminded of the situation by his dreams though, so all is good. They run into Nocturne.
Just as a reminder, Bachalo’s art still sucks (I know that's a controversial statement, but it's how I feel). Magneto's Marauders (Callisto, Banshee, Caliban, T-Rex, Black Tom Cassidy) are after Betsy, Rachel, and Nocturne. Karima is coming to arrest Brian with a bunch of Sentinels. Pete Wisdom shows up to help. Brian gets some help from other Captain Britain’s.
Ultimately, Megan sacrifices herself to seal the rift and stop Roma (and Sat-Yr-9) from destroying 616. I love Megan. This is a great moment for her, but makes me sad that we won't be seeing her for a while.
House of M # 3

Wolverine is a special agent with Shield along with Mystique, who he's dating. W starts to remember the truth, which I'm assuming is because his body (including his mind) starts to heal itself. There's a cool scene where he decides to just jump off a helicarrier. Shield enforcers try to bring him in (Jessica Drew, NC, Toad, Rogue). He escapes into Cloak and finds the Underground, which includes Luke Cage, Hawkeye, and others.
Wolverine V3 # 33 - 35: Wolverine & Mystique in the House of M

I usually don't read The Wolverine solo comic regularly, but I like to have excuses to pop in. In this case, I'm glad that I did as I rather enjoyed this little 3 pack.
Mystique, a SHIELD agent who is dating Wolverine, reports to her supervisor, Sebastian Shaw. We are given a flashback from two weeks earlier in Mexico where some human resistance fighters attacked an embassy and stole a Sentinel.
Wolverine is being questioned because the resistance fighters are believed to be led by Nick Fury, who Wolverine was once close with. Shaw tells Mystique about W and Nick Fury’s shared history. Fury trained W at the SHIELD military academy. Fury was seemingly blown up, but not everyone (especially Shaw) buys it. Shaw thinks W has been in cahoots with Fury.
However, it turns out that Mystique was behind everything. She started up a war because W was sad without one. Now that's love. And insanity. Little difference.
Academy X # 16 - 19: Magik and other dead friends

In the world of the House of M, The Xavier Institute is now a training grounds for future mutant leaders. A terrorist (Cameron Hodge?) tried to blow up a gathering, but they are saved by a SHIELD squad of Hellions (Dani (Cable Eye), Julian/Scion, Synch, Surge, Wind Dancer, Quill, and new recruit Magik.)
The New Mutants (students at the) institute include Prodigy, Tag, Mercury, Cuckos, Wallflower, and good old Quentin Quire.
Jubilee and Dust (no burka) are best friends and troublemakers at the school. Doug Ramsey and Shan are teachers. Everyone who was dead is back again! Except the original Hellions. No one seems to care about them (I get it).
Surge and Prodigy are secretly dating. (Where have I seen this before?) Sofia and Julian are openly dating (also not a surprise, but still a nice touch). Magik joins the Hellions (hell yea, love me some Magik).
The hellions are sent to Japan to take down a group of terrorists, led by Surge’s father.
Surge isn't allowed to go with the Hellions so she and David are going to save her father themselves. This is how we learn that Laurie is an embedded SHIELD secret agent, reporting to her father who runs the school. QQ finds out and Laurie kills him (Oh snap!).
The Hellions take down Japanese thugs. Magik gets a little too liberal with the killing.
Surge, Sophie, Prodigy, Dust, Jubes, and Laurie (ruh roh) head out to save Surge’s dad and stop project Genesis.
Brian (Tag) is investigating why Quentin killed himself. Shan and Doug Ramsey discover Sean Garrison is behind stuff, and he proceeds to attacks them. And this is where Doug died again. Just kidding, that didn't happen.
The Hellions learn that Project Genesis is SHIELD testing and killing humans. Laurie, as a deep cover shield agent, pushes the two teams to klll each other using her pheromone powers. She's a real treat in this world.
Tag kills Garrison to save Shan and Doug Ramsey. Laurie has the two teams fighting each other until Mercury kills Laurie, her best friend. This got some emotion out of me, good job writing team. Synch died jumping on a bomb again. Dude will sacrifice himself time and time again. Donald Pierce kills Sophie, then Dani beats his ass. A guard kills the spikey guy, Max (Quill). Emperor Sunfire shows up.
Cable & Deadpool # 17: Baby Cable

Pencils -Patrick Zircher
DP goes to a reality where Mr Sinister is with baby Cable. They think they’re in another reality, but actually they’re just in the house of M universe. Baby Cable will feature prominently in the post House of M issues.
